Rock Show Success!!
I’ve been to quite a rock shows over the years, including some highly-professional big budget shows, and I can honestly say that what I saw at the Minerva Theatre over this weekend was nothing short of outstanding, and I’m putting aside any biased I may have in saying this!
The standard of performance from these talented young musicians was about a good as it gets, and it’s great to see so many new faces amongst the more familiar ones who’ve appeared in our previous shows.. also to see those with low to zero confidence walking out on stage in-front of a packed house and giving it their all alongside their band mates. Truly amazing! Super Proud!! Very well done to each and every performer!

Ovation Rock Show 2020!!
Talented young musicians return to the Minerva Theatre for two evenings and one afternoon of live music featuring children and young people (ages 8 – 18) from local schools, Chichester College, Chichester Music Academy and Ovation Music. £15 for the main evening shows (10th and 11th Jan) and £10 for the junior Matinee show (11th Jan).

Successful Rock Shows!
For a first night, the Friday show kicked things off very well indeed with strong performances from all the bands, singers and singer-songwriters. Very well done to them!
The Junior Matinee show was undoubtedly our best one to date, with our youngest performer just 7 years old and delivering an enchanting performance. Again some truly inspiring performances from the soloists and our younger bands, some of whom were playing their first ever ‘gig’. All of them amazing!
The final night show was also right up there, with group after group delivering some of the most powerful performances we have seen in any of our shows over the years. Likewise the soloists and and guest artists were astonishingly good! Across all three shows nerves were well and truly conquered!
OVATION ROCK SHOW 2019!
Tickets for the 2019 Ovation Rock Show at the Chichester Festival Theatre (Minerva) are now available via the CFT box office and CFT website. Two evenings and one afternoon of live music from talented young musicians (ages 9 – 19) from local schools, Chichester Music Academy and Ovation Music.
£15 for the main evening shows (11th and 12th Jan) and £10 for the junior show (12th Jan).
Ovation Summer Festival
Our first ever Summer Festival took place on Sunday 1st July in West Wittering, with over 8 hours of live music from all our young bands and singers on yet another hot and sunny weekend!! Well done to everyone who took part and to those who helped us run the stage and stalls. Thanks also to the Old House at Home for looking after us so well!
Cobstock!
On June 2nd just under 80 children and young people (ages 9 to 19) descended on Cobnor Activities Centre to take part in one of the hottest Cobstock Festivals in recent years. Between them they performed an amazing 2.5 hour set of originals and covers to a great crowd! Very well done to everyone who took part and huge thanks to all the Cobstock crew! Bring on 2019!
Sell out Rock Shows!
Well done to everyone who took part in the Ovation Rock Show at the Minerva Theatre. Our youngest musicians and singers are just 9 and they held their own amongst older and more experienced performers. 96 children and young people, many of whom have not performed before, played to 750 people over three live shows! Jazz, Rock, Indie, Pop, Blues, Soul, Funk, and Metal, it was all there! Very well done to all!
